Alice A. Erickson, 96, of Elkhorn, NE, formerly of Mead, NE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Nye Legacy in Fremont, NE. She was born October 5, 1928 in Colon, NE to Anton and Mary (Hradsky) Havelka. Alice graduated from Mead High School in 1945. She graduated from commercial business school in Omaha, NE. On October 26, 1948, Alice was united in marriage to Theodore Erickson at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo, NE.
Alice worked at the Bank of Mead for 36 years until she retired in 2003. She served as the Mead village clerk for 14 years. Alice was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Mead, NE and the St. James PCCW.
She is survived by children, Connie Eckley, Michael (Claire) Erickson and John (Kim) Erickson; grandchildren, Jay (Kristi) Eckley, Cori (Dennis) Ritchards, Jessica (George) Ingham, Nicholas (Katelyn) Erickson, Laura (Phil) Richard, Calli (Pat) D'Angelo, Ted Erickson and Grace Erickson; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn (Jordan) Thorson, Star Eckley, Aspen Eckley, Axel Eckley, Luke Ingham, Cora Ingham, Abby Ingham, Kiley Erickson, Caleb Erickson, Jake Richard and Samantha D'Angelo; many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore A. Erickson; parents, Anton and Mary Havelka; sister, Helen Sindelar; son-in-law, James G. Eckley; special friend, Robert Yarmon.
Mass of Christian Burial, Friday (11/8/2024) 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 213 E. 8th St., Mead, NE. Concelebrants, Rev. Gary Gross and Rev. Charles Townsend. Visitation, Friday 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. Rosary all at the Church. Interment at Morningside Cemetery, Mead, NE.
