Leah Stites Obituary

DAVID CITY – Leah E. Stites, 71, of David City, died Sept. 27 at the Genoa Community Hospital in Genoa.
Stites was born on June 9, 1938 to Omer and Geraldine (Peak) Stites in Omaha. She received her education through the Special Education Program of the Beatrice State Home, Region V of David City and in Bellwood. She worked various jobs with Region V in David City and Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Boyd and Omer Stites; one niece, Claudette Riha and one nephew, Jeremy Riha.
She is survived by her brother, Paul Stites of Omaha; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bill Riha of Brainard; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Memorial services were held Oct. 5 at the Congregational Church in David City with Pastor Jack McDonald officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
