Margaret "Peg" Woita

Margaret (Peg) G. Woita WAHOO - Margaret "Peg" G. Woita, 73 of Wahoo, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha. She was born Feb. 7, 1949 in Spalding, to Robert P. and Marion L. (Bryan) Heindryckx. She graduated from Spalding Academy in 1967 and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island in 1972. She worked as an RN for 42 years at Lincoln General Hospital from 1972-1976 and Saunders Medical Center from 1976-2014. She was united in marriage to Nick Woita on Feb. 21 1976 at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Osceola. From this union three sons were born, Matthew, Stephen and Bryan. Peg was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, past officer of the PCCW, a founding member of the Saunders Medical Center Auxiliary and a Cub Scout leader. She enjoyed reading, playing pitch and spending time with her family and friends. Peg is survived by her sons, Steve (Lauren) Woita and Bryan Woita; grandson, Harvey Woita; siblings, Greg (Candace) Heindryckx, Jean (Clark) Stanway, John (Robin) Heindryckx; sister-in-law, Connie Heindryckx; brothers-in-law, Jeff Stroh, Larry (Rose) Woita, Carl Woita and Jim (Susan) Woita. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marion Heindryckx; husband, Nick Woita; son, Matthew Woita; brother, Robe Heindryckx; sisters, Mary Ellen Heindryckx, Amy Stroh and parents-in-law, Adolph and Celestine Woita. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. The Rev. Jeffrey Eickhoff will be celebrant. Visitation is Wednesday, May 4, 5 to 7 p.m. at Svoboda Home in Wahoo. Rosary will be Wednesday, May 4, 7:30 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Wahoo. Memorials to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church or Guardian Angel Fund at St. Wenceslaus School and Bishop Neumann High School.
