Ronald V. Machacek, 83, of Weston, NE, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. He was born June 10, 1941 in Weston, NE to Henry Sr. and Tillie (Buresh) Machacek. Ron graduated from Weston High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1962-1964. On December 29, 1965, Ron was united in marriage to Beverly Kudlacek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard, NE.
Ron worked for 40 years at Lucent Technologies/Western Electric in Omaha, NE. Ron was a farmer at heart, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and restoring his tractors. He was a past coach for little league baseball in Weston.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly Machacek; sons, Jon (KayLynn) Machacek and Derek D. Machacek; grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Nicholas, Aaron and Liam; great-grandchildren, Logan, Elliott and Chloe; brothers, Richard (Marilyn) Machacek and Henry Machacek Jr.; sister, Sr. Mary Jane Machacek; many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry Sr. and Tillie Machacek; brother, Robert Machacek; sister, Loretta D'Vor.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 10:30 a.m., at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 130 Front St., Weston, NE. Celebrant, Rev. Matthew Vandewalle. Visitation was held Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with 10 a.m. Rosary, all at the Church. Interment at St. John Cemetery, Weston, NE. Military Honors by U.S. National Guard & American Legion Post #308.
