Jesse Wade Obituary

Jesse Vernon Wade, Jr. was born July 9, 1937, in Corona, New Mexico, and died peacefully in his sleep at Woodland Palms Memory Care Community in the early morning hours of November 6, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda; daughter, Jonna (Rick) Tornquist and grandchildren, Stephanie, Tyler and Chase; daughter, Shelly (Paul) Carver and grandchildren, Jake and Mia; brothers, Charley Wade and Bobby Wade of NM and their wives and children; as well as his Rehnstrom and Dannenberg family in Iowa. Vern is predeceased by his parents, Jesse Vernon Wade Sr. and Ollie D. Jarnagin Wade of Corona, NM. Vern graduated in 1960 with a BS in Business Administration from New Mexico State University where he was the yearbook publisher and a member of the men's fraternity SAE. In 1962 he married Linda Dannenberg of Storm Lake, Iowa. He earned his C.P.A. license in 1963 and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant in Albuquerque before moving to Tucson in 1966 where he continued his career, working most notably as a partner at Lyons, Waller, Sayre and Wade and later Clifton Gunderson LLP. Upon retirement from Clifton Gunderson LLP, he worked a second career at Concrete Designs Inc. Vern was an avid Wildcat fan, enjoyed participation in numerous organizations, and attended weekly luncheons with Tucson Exchange members until shortly before Myasthenia Gravis and Alzheimer's made it impossible for him to do so. Above all else, Vern loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was loved in return, and will be missed by all of us who knew him. The family would like to thank Kathy Taylor and the staff of Taylor Circle of Friends for the care given to Vern at home, and to Kendall Jamison and the staff of Woodlawn Palms for the special care given to Vern during his last months of life. At Vern's request there will be no services held in his memory. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Arizona. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

Hello Mrs. Wade: I was so sad to read of Mr. Wade's passing in the paper. This is Virginia Allison and I remember when he hired me in 1996 while at Lyons, Waller, Sayre and Wade Firm. I've often thought of him and his family and wondered how he was and where he was. He was such a kind man and so patient with me while working for him, that will never be forgotten. My condolences to you and your family. My prayers are sent to you for strength and encouragement.
Sincerely,
Virginia Allison
