Katherine Schlatter Obituary

Katherine Ann Schlatter passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. She had just celebrated her 57th birthday.
Kate was born and raised in Wapakoneta and attended Miami University where she graduated with a degree in Communications. After her marriage to Robert Norvell in 1995, they lived in Denver for several years and later moved to Cincinnati, Robert's hometown. In 2002, the couple settled for good in Upper Arlington, where Kate has family. There they raised their two sons, Max and Tate. They were welcomed to UA by others with children in the school system and made many friends. Kate was interested in and worked for progressive causes. She was most recently employed as a human resources administrator.
Those who have known Kate through the years have described her as "having the largest capacity for love of all the people I know," "an angel on earth to me and so many others," a "fun girl and beautiful soul." She will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Kate is survived by her husband, Robert Norvell, and their sons, Max Ellis and William Tate; her sister, Ellis Burrows; her brother, Rob Schlatter, sister in law, Kimberlee (nee Brown) and two nieces, Lydia and Julianna. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Beverly Schlatter and her brother in law, Jeffrey Kitzis.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Schoedinger Northwest, 140 Zollinger Road, where Kate's family will receive friends at a reception following the service until 4 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice. Best Pecan Pie baker and sweet, kind next door neighbor. Sad early departure from family and friends.
Prayers remain for Robert, Max and Tate for such tragic loss. May she remain in our hearts as she rests In Peace.

I´m so sorry to hear about this. I was named after her mother because her mother, Bev and my mother Mary Jo Werner were sorority sisters and lifetime friends. I worked at the Dairy Bar that her dad owned all through high school. I certainly am sorry this happened. I will be praying for the whole family.

Your old neighbor here. I'm so sorry for your loss. What a shock to see that sweet face on here. It says to post a memory. I'll dig way back to before she could pronounce her name. Konkin Otter .. remember? She got lost somehow... couldn't pronounce her name and lived "in that white house." I have good memories of all of you. Sending you peace and strength.
