Vivian JoAnn Cunningham, 79, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:44 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born May 21, 1935, in Maplewood, the daughter of Donald C. and Ruth A. (Lentz) Stahler, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Survivors include, three children, Robert D. Cunningham, Jr., of Rockford, Ill., Dianna (Jeffrey) Gehrlich, of Fairfield, and Patricia (Anthony) Miller, of Wapakoneta; four grandchildren, Marcy, Amber, Zachary and Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa and Gavin; a brother, Donald (Cheryl) Stahler, Jr., of Wapakoneta; a niece and many nephews and their families; a former husband, Robert D. Cunningham Sr., of Winterpark, Fla.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean Fox, and an infant Patricia Ann Stahler.
JoAnn worked for Stahler Trucking and Leasing in Wapakoneta, and was retired from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. A 1953 graduate of Blume High School, she was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445. She was also a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta. JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her family and spoke of her children and grandchildren with much love and pride! She also enjoyed painting, reading, baking, playing games and watching tennis, golf and ice skating. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with Pastor Mark Bauer officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lima Memorial Health System Intensive Care Unit or Respiratory Care.
