I still have dreams about walking around the farm house. They're so vivid, I have to remind myself I'm dreaming. As I make my way around, I see a full, busy kitchen with grandkids sneaking into the flour and potatoes, Grandma cooking up a storm with my aunts helping. I walk up that dark, scary stairwell and go into the rooms, each filled with odds and ends that Grandma called her treasure. There was always something fun to do with Grandma Dee. Whether she was taking us to the candy shops, thrift stores, or through cemeteries while telling us ghost stories-- there was never a dull moment. Grandma was so ornery and adorably mischievous-- the pranks she would play! I still remember doing the duck waddle with her and she would laugh and laugh at her big ol' butt (her words!) shaking while she quacked. She would sing "How much is that doggie in the window?" and I sing it to my kids, too. Grandma really loved children and filled all of our childhoods with happy, fun, wholesome memories. For most of us, our earliest memories of Grandma Dee are memories of Bible study, her teaching us that Jesus is the way, and stories of our Grandpa Jimmy. She never stopped talking about how much she missed him and how much she couldn't wait to go to Heaven and see him again. It is extremely bittersweet that she finally got her wish after all of these years. We will miss her here on Earth, but nothing compares to what she has now. She lived a beautiful life as a servant of the Lord and praised Him every chance she got. She led many of her family to Christ and was a kind, loving Grandma and friend. I am so thankful for the videos and pictures of her that have been posted. To hear her voice again for the first time in many years was very heartwarming and beautiful. She sounded the same as I remembered. Unfortunately, for me personally, I didn't get to see much of Grandma Dee over the last several years, as I live across the country and do not make it up much. I'll miss Grandma but feel at peace with letting her go because she is in Heaven with so many loved ones and best of all, Jesus.

What i will always remember is how much she loved Jesus and her family. Even when she didn't know alot of what was going on, she still loved deeply. So sorry for your loss here on earth, but remember that one day you will meet again.
