Dennis Binkley Obituary

Dennis Binkley, age 78, of Centerview, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Western Missouri Medical Center.
He was born February 17, 1943, in Olean, MO, the son of Mark and Evelyn (Wallis) Binkley. He was raised and attended school in Eugene, MO, where he graduated in 1961. He spent most of his time playing many sports including basketball and baseball all while working on the farm.
On August 12, 1989, he and Cindy Reed were united in marriage in Belton, MO.
Dennis enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, camping, bonfires, hunting, mowing the lawn, and socializing with friends. He was passionate about restoring cars and trucks after working as a diesel mechanic for several years. Most of his days were spent restoring classic cars in the garage.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Dennis is survived by his wife Cindy Binkley of Centerview; his children Lita (Alan) Hood of Jefferson City, MO, Bink R. Binkley of Minden, NE, Jean Binkley of Belton, MO, Derek Binkley of Centerview, Deron (Nichelle) Binkley of Lone Jack, MO; his brother Gail (Vicki) Binkley; and a sister-in-law Katherine Binkley of Eugene. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Paul Binkley, and a brother Bill Binkley Sr.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Brother Charles Brant officiating.
