Jerry Hughes Obituary
Jerry grew up in Versailles, MO, and is survived by his wife, Victoria M., of Warrensburg, MO; son Greg Hughes (Catrina) of Vienna, VA, and grandchildren Tanner, Rylie, Dalton, and Wyatt; son Parker Waite of Warrensburg, MO; son Chad Hughes of Warrensburg, MO, and grandchildren Fallon, Kaiser, and Logan; daughter Ashley Ruzich (Matthew) of Hendersonville, NC, and granddaughter Sofie; sister Candy Stephens (Ronnie) of Warrensburg, MO; and numerous extended family.
Jerry graduated from Versailles High School in 1967. In 1971, Jerry graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Physical Education while competing as a student athlete. Jerry was a three-year letterman on the Mules golf team. His master's degree, also from UCM, was earned in Secondary School Administration in 1979.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Jim T. "Skip" Hughes, and wife Carol D. Hughes.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in honor of Jerry to the University of Central Missouri Alumni Foundation directed to Mule Train or the Eleanor G. Hughes and Carol Dyetta Hughes Literacy Program.
