Vance DeLozier Obituary
He was born July 18, 1949, in Warrensburg, Missouri, the son of Francis Dale and Eileen (Fewell) DeLozier.
Vance grew up in Warrensburg and graduated from UCM, where he was the past president of the UCM Alumni Association. He also served as president of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity during his college years. Vance was a successful businessman and has owned Key Realty since 1977. Vance had many interests, especially for music. He played the saxophone and drums in a band during his teenage years and was a passionate record collector. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Royals, Chiefs and Mules. Vance was eternally optimistic and always saw the good in others. He loved his family and friends greatly and lived his life with integrity and love.
In February 1979, he and Loree Graham were united in marriage in Warrensburg.
Vance is survived by his wife, Loree DeLozier; his children, Brook (Bo) Barron, Darin (Rina) DeLozier and Eric Dossett; his grandchildren, Krista (Brian), Ben, Max, Joseph, Kate, Zoe, Ellie, Lucy, Shae, and Wesley; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Oliviah, Myles, Ozzie, Russell, and Will.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Chuck Owings, Dave Roberts, Greg Hassler, Larry Wade, Robert Bowers and Bo Barron.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warrensburg Senior Center (home delivered meal
program) or the Johnson County Food Center and left in care of the funeral home.
