Vi and Paul:

Aaron is so much a part of my memories of life at the university – Vi’s pregnancy and anticipation of “Pee-Wee’s” birth; Aaron’s attendance as an infant and toddler at basketball and football games; Aaron’s after school visits to our office, along with his skateboard; the excitement of Vi and Aaron’s trip to France with the Owl School – all of these memories of Aaron and more will be with me forever. Please take some measure of comfort in knowing that he will always be fondly remembered by your university friends and colleagues and especially those of us who were part of your UDC Office of Public Affairs family.

My Dearest Vie and Paul. Words are truly inaccurate to express how sorry I was to learn that Aaron had passed. Even though I KNOW that this is hard for you, also KNOW that God will get you through it. Strengthen belief in God, love for George and feeling his presence has been my strongest support and strength. I pray that the love that you both have for Aaron will get you through this ordeal also. I truly believe that Aaron is looking down on you both continiously and gently touching you with his presence when you need it the most. Tears will continue to fall, (for a long time, I might add) but sweet memories will help to dry them. Please remember that you BOTH can call on me WHENEVER you need to talk or just sit and eat cake. (LOL....) Vie, we've been together for many years. I considered you a friend then and more so now. You were there for me and I intend to do the same, simply because I LOVE YOU. Keep your chin up and remember that your strength and endurance comes from above.

Dearest Paul and Voilet,
I just heard the sad news today, Labor Day, when I decided to call Laura. The whole family down south wants you to know that we are lifting you (all of you) up in our prayers and most sincere thoughts. Don't give up on God. Hold to His unchanging hand and He will see you through even this.
Love always. I am so sorry I didn't know in time to come.

To my dear Sister in Christ, Violet and your family. I can hardly find words to convey my surprise and sadness at hearing of the loss of your beloved son, Aaron. While we know that weeping may endure for a night (and only God knows how long your night may be), joy comes in the morning. I hope and pray that the thoughts and prayers of those who love you and love Aaron will sustain you for now. I pray that your memories will bring you peace and joy. I pray that your love of God will give you strength today and for all your tomorrows, until you see Aaron again. Bless you and know that we are here for you. With love from the Scales Family.

Mr. and Mrs. Tinsley, I met your son about a year ago; we where neighbors in NW. I gathered that he came from good people just by being around him. I, along with so many others, will tell you that your son will be missed. He and D, are like family to me now. I am honored to have known him. He was clearly one of the most talented brothers I have encountered and I also say that he loved his family and that we are all better people because of his presence. I pray that you and all of us that will miss this man, can endure these times with dignity and understanding. I WILL MISS YOU BROTHER "CHANCE" GOD IS LOVE!!
