Of Kill Devil Hills, NC, died Monday, July 22, 2002 in Elizabeth City, NC. Mrs. McCarron was born in Brooklyn, NY and was an executive secretary in telecommunications. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille Mosczynski Uszynski.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, James Joseph McCarron of the residence and was the loving mother of two daughters, Diane McCarron and husband, Forrest Wimett of Southern Shores and Laurie Rydel and husband, Mike of Mechanicsville, VA; two sons, Brian McCarron and wife, Kay of Jeffersonton, VA and Jamie McCarron and wife, Molly of Gainesville, VA. Other survivors include a sister, Lorraine McKenna of Demarest, NJ; eight grandchildren, Forrest Scruggs, Jessie McCarron, Travis McCarron Wimett, Ashley and Colin McCarron, Alicia, Tyler and Trey Rydel.
Funeral services will be held at Duck United Methodist Church on Friday, July 26, 2002 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Clift, officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Shores Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930B Wellness Dr., Greenville, NC 27834 or to the American Diabetes Association, 434 Fayetteville St. Mall, Two Hanover Square, Suite 1600, Raleigh, NC 27601-1764. TWIFORD COLONY CHAPEL, Manteo, 252-473-2449 is handling arrangements.
