Alan was a good friend to our family and was always there when we needed him. As busy as he was - AND HE WAS ALWAYS BUSY- he found a way to fit us in with a listening ear, a big smile on his face, and helpful advice. Alan will be sorely missed by all who knew him. May his memory always be for a blessing.

I first met Alan Diamonstein when I started a position in Virginia's state government in 1976, and over the years I learned to admire and respect him, and to observe and learn from him as he added to his long list of accomplishments on behalf of the residents of Virginia.
I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of this fine man. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived

My sincere sympathy to the family of Mr. Diamondstein. He and my dad served many years together at Sarah Bonwell and my dad had the utmost respect for him. I pray that God will guide and keep you in His hands now and in the coming days. There are not too many men like this left in our world. May God bless each of you. I know the family will miss him. Our community has lost a "good fighter" for just causes.
