I will miss you Alan. I always look forward to chatting with you living across the street from me. We have a running joke that we are the minority in Maryland because of our political leanings. Every election cylce was exciting with you as my neighbor. We talked about everything, from schools, to our kids, all the way to our careers. Out of all our neighbors, you were the closest to me. I will miss the annual bar b ques, our family's trips to ethnic restaurants.

I will always remember when you played "Santa" one Christmas. My oldest daughter immeadiately recognized you and on que you started singing all the Christmas songs that even I don't know the words to.

Your were very approachable, with no "airs." I will miss that the most. If I have one regret, I wish I went with you to a Giants-Redskins game. Unfortunately, I never seem to get those tickets unless it's late in the season, or it's just too cold to enjoy the game.

I will always think about you, if your family needs anything I will be there for them.

Your friends and neighbor.
