Alexandra Sara Jacoby

1982 - 2024

Alexandra Sara Jacoby ("Alex") of Washington, DC, passed away on May 23, 2024, at age 41. She is survived by her mother, Dr. Eve Mościcki, her sister, Anna Jacoby. Her loyal dogs, Bear and Theora will miss her. She had been predeceased by her beloved father, Robert Jacoby. Ms. Jacoby attended Janney Elementary and Deal Junior High School, the Washington Waldorf School, and Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a strong and independent personality, kind spirit, voracious reader, and loyal friend. She loved her city, science fiction, the music of Queen and David Bowie, and above all else, dogs. Her love of animals was evidenced in her choice of occupation, including the dog care enterprise of which she was the sole proprietor at the time of her death. A celebration of life will be held in July. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Ms. Jacoby's name be sent to the Humane Rescue Alliance.
