I just heard the news. I am so sad to hear of Alex´s passing. She was my first friend at VCU. We lived in the dorm just down the hall from each other. She was SO smart and so fun. Alex knew just about everything about literature and music. I was an awe of her. She once took me to DC when I was having a bad week and showed me around the city to cheer me up. She was a special girl. My heart goes out to her family.

Dear Eve and Anna,
It is so hard to put into words how shocked and sad I am at the enormous loss of your beautiful Alex. I know how difficult the coming days, weeks, months and even years will be, but In time your pain will ease somewhat. Sending you much love.
