SAVOY-SMITH ALICE C. SAVOY-SMITH On Monday, December 21, 2009. Wife of the late Wilburt Smith, Sr. She is survived by three daughters, Michele (James), Sharon and Linda; four sons, Wilburt, Jr. (Tracey), William (Sharron), Darryl (Angie) and Joseph; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters; six brothers; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30 at the Church of the Incarnation, 880 Eastern Ave., NE. Interment Harmony Memorial Park. Services by HENRY S. WASHINGTON & SONS.

Grandma,

I love and miss you so much! I haven´t written you in a while but think of you daily. I know you´re happy to have my mommy up there with you now. Life hasn´t been the same without you and hurts even more without her. You two left me too darn soon. I´m only 34 and I have to live life without y´all. It just doesn´t seem right but I know God doesn´t make any mistakes. Guess what? Aiden is now 6 and Alana´s 11. I truly wish they had the chance to meet you. I love you Granny Panties. Please give my love to all our relatives in the sky.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY my love! Wiping tears from my eyes just thinking about you. I miss you so much, it never gets easier. Wishing I could hug you so tight! Missing my weekly Sunday visits. I will be getting married soon, to the love of my life Tevin. He's an amazing man and everything I ever wanted. Alana is growing so beautifully and you have a new great grandson on the way. Aiden is due to be here in September and I could only dream of you being here to meet him. Alana talks about you all the time as if she knows exactly who you are. I sometimes wonder if you've visited her in her dreams. Please feel free to visit me in mine sometimes. I love you Granny Panties and pray that you continue to rest in peace.

Grandma, love of my life and my everything! I can't believe its been 6 years since you left my side. They say time heals all but when it comes to losing you, I don't see that being possible. Dear mom, it's all most two years since we last conversed in person. Not a day go by that i don't think about you. Mr. Shugga was here for the weekend and as i was walking him he ran up the steps to your building. Wow..mom even the dog miss you. You are so well missed by all. Mom you were so filled with wisdom, i never really new how much until now. As i reflect back on some of our one on one mother to daughter talks i realize i had the best mother in the world. Mom,
I can't believe its been a whole year. Not having you in my life has been rough. Not being able to talk to you, touch or see you has taken a toll on me. I hate being selfish, but I just can't let you go. I'm glad that you're no longer suffering because every hospital trip I had with you made me weak. But since you are no here I guess I would have to rely on the words you spoke to me when you where here. Mom even when I want to do right there is trouble on every end. But I will continue to serve the Lord as I promised you. Hello mother, I miss you so much. I cannot get past the night of your passing on. You knew you had exceeded your water limit, that's why you asked me for a little bit of water...You specified a little bit, you even measured it with your hand, as I said to you, you need more water than that to eat this cupcake, you're going to choke. Well mom, uncle Jr. told me, before I got there, you had water and green and red crushed pills coming out of your mouth. I had to tell him it was not pills but the green and red candy that was on the cupcake. Mom, you always thought you were tough, in fact you proved it time after time. I only wish I would have fell for your puppy eyes that night as you tried to keep me there and talk to me all night.

Hello my God Sisters and Brothers. I know that this has been a difficult time for all of you. I continue to keep all of you in prayers, I know how much you must miss your mother... I miss her to, just know that if she could come back just to tell you all that she Love you she would. Until we meet with her in the heavens we have to believe that she is smiling down on us and very happy. I love you all.

Happy B-Day mother, I love and miss u very much. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to have a early piece of B-Day cake with you. Mom I now know why u asked for a little bit of water, u had already exceeded your water limit. Mother, Mother, Mother... I did not know until uncle Jr. told me of the water and cake crumbs, that were coming out of your mouth as you gasped for air. Mother, it was always your or no way. Through your death God have opened my eyes to a lot of things mother, for that I am greatful. Darryl had a stroke the day before your B-Day, but he is doing better. Mother u r going to be a great, great grandmother. Picture that love...
Thanks for the wonderful things you said about me to your neighbors, and thanks for my nick name. She said you called me your little brownie. I m going to use that name from here on.

My kids are still mourning over their grandmother. Meshia, Darryl,De'Angelo Goldston, and Angela Smith we will always remember her presence. I miss you so much mother. I will never forget the last converse we had in just lest than two hours before the father (GOD)called you home. You had a sweet tooth that night and you sent Latia (granddaughter) to the store for a lemon cupcake, but they only had white. You said I don't care I just want something sweet. When Latia’ returned from the store she called you, she said little girl, walk down here and get your cake, you sad you better bring me my d-- cake before i whip your a--, you laughed and we laughed. Thanks for the last laugh mother. I bought you your cake. You asked for a little bit of water and I said mother, you need more water than this if you are going to eat this cake, and you said just a little bit. I gave you the water, said i love you, i have to go to work tomorrow, call me if you need me. You said, Oh I didn't like what you did the other day, you embarrassed my grandson in front of me, you called him dumb and stupid, don't say that no more. I said mother that is your grandson how can I embarrass him in front of you, anyway, I called him silly. I will never forget the look on your face, as you said, I know what I heard. Mom you were so nice that night you didn't even curse. If I knew that was going to be the last time we conversed I would have talked to you all night, I would have ate the cake with you. Mother I heard you then and I here you now and I promise never to call anyone stupid or dumb ever again. Thanks for your words of wisdom. I love and miss you so much.... Dear Grandma,
I miss you so so much. Not a day or second goes by without you on my mind. I can't seem to accept the fact that you're actually gone. I will try my best to help this family the way you always tried. But no one will ever do it better than you. You were my bestfriend, my strength, my heart, my motive, and so much more. I hope that I made you proud while you were here on earth. If so, I will continue to do so while you're watching me up in heaven. I just wish that I could hold you in my arms one more time. I know you're in a better place so I smile from the thought of you.
