GRADY ANGELA MARIA GRADY Angela was born May 1, 1971 in Washington, DC. She departed this life on Thursday, February 21, 2008 in Charlotte, NC. Angela was survived by her children, Lamont, Jr., Alexis and LeTrell; parents James and Selena Grady. She was preceded in death by her brother James, Jr. "Little"; and survived by brothers Lawrence, Alphonza and Johnathan; granddaughter Zoe. Also survived by a godsister Kidada; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Charlotte, NC, where her family currently resides. Viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Alexander Funeral Home, 1424 Stateville Ave., Charlotte, NC 28206.

I too was very shock to hear of the family's loss when I received the phone call. I told my mother that I had just saw Angie and Ms. Selena a couple months back in the Olive Garden. I'm sure Angie is resting in God's hands.

Angie, my sista... I just can't believe that you are gone away from her. I miss you so much until I am still numb about your passing. We have shared so many things together. Growing up one year apart and sharing out inner most feelings and fears with eachother. I am going to miss you soo much my sista but I know that God knew what was best. As I stood at your funeral mind flooded back to all the good and bad times in our lives and relationship. I will forever keep your memory alive and Lexi, Lil Man, a nd LaTrelle will be alright. I was so sorry to hear of your lost. My mind took me back to Birney Pl. S.E.Washington, DC where we all played together as little children. I knew Angie in high school but was priviledged to have worked with her for serveral years at BCBS. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit that will truly be missed. May God comfort her children, family and all that knew her.

I was heartbroken to hear of Angie's death. Angie, Mouse and I were the best of friends throughout middle school and most of high school. Angie and I had not talked in recent years and I was shocked to hear of her death.

To Mr. and Mrs. Grady, Johnny, Biggie, Fonnie, Lil. Lamont, Alexis, and LeTrell (who I haven't had the chance to meet), please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Angie's parents and brothers were like my second family during my teenage years.

Angie was an amazing spirit, and we are all blessed to have had the opportunity to know her.

I was totally shocked and speechless when Kidada called and told me that Angie was ill and then a few days later that she had passed away. Words can not express how deeply sorry I am for her family’s and friends loss, but just rest assured that she is in a better place and looking down on everyone wondering why she/he has that outfit or how stylish something looks. Although I had not seen Angie in a while, I will always remember all of the fun times we had, mostly at family get togethers. Angie, you will truly be missed, but you spirit will live on through you children, family and friends.
