I think of Ms. Payton often and I am happy that this Guest Book has remained open. I was thinking of her today and pull this up, to my pleasure. Ms. Payton will always be in my soul and spirit, she holds a very special place in my heart. I thank God that he allowed our paths to cross if only for a short time. Through loving memories, Ms. Payton still is a beautiful, caring, loving and wonderful woman. She will for ever be missed.

To the Hairston and Peyton Family's:

I just learned of Angela's passing. She and I attended grade school together at St. Francis De Sales. I know that Jehovah can remove the sting of a heart that mourns the loss of a loved one. I pray that God continues to bless the family. I can tell, by reading some of the other entries, that Angela truly touched many people (parents, students, teachers alike). May the love of Christ rest, rule and abide in your life forever!!

Ms. Peyton was more to me than just a teacher, she was a friend of the family whose positive influence helped to make me the man I am today, and I love her for that. She has touched so many lives and her death is not just a loss for her family but also a great loss for our community. I pray that God will help her family through these hard times but also let us rejoice in knowing that her soul is now with our father in Heaven.

January 17, 2008

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Peyton as she was my homeroom teacher in the 7th grade. It was there that I met so many people that would end up having an impact on my life. It was there that I met the first person in my life that shared the same birthday as I, October 11. Ms. Peyton loved all of her students, taking the time to teach us more than just Spanish. During my 7th grade year, we as a class learned alot from Ms. Peyton and she learned alot from us. Our classroom went from that of a teacher student relationship to one of a family. She helped us through our tears and problems and we did the same for her. Ms. Peyton and her class grew together that year. She was interested in what we did outside of her Spanish curriculum and homeroom. If she didn't like our grades on our report card, she told us. If she didn't like our attitude inside or outside her class, she told us, and we greatly appreciated and respected her for that. When we got to Largo High, who else was there but Ms. Peyton, taking us again under her wing. Even though only some of us were blessed to have her again for a teacher, she still had the same loving and caring qualities that she had when we spent every morning and 1st period with her. She still checked on us when she saw us in the hall and still gave us that same loving scold of and when we ended up in her office for Peer Mediation. Every birthday, Ms. Peyton and I made sure that we would seek each other at school to tell each other Happy Birthday. Every birthday that has passed, I have thought about her and for every birthday to come I will think about her and smile. I am truly blessed to share the same birthday as a woman who gave of herself unselfishly, who cared about other peoples children as if they were her own, who so many people are thankful for and admire, and who loved her friends, family, and students so unconditionally. To her children, her mother, Ms. Hairston, and the rest of her family, my deepest condolences to you. Although she is not physically here anymore, her memory will be carried on in the many many lives of people she has touched.

To the Peyton Family,
I never had the pleasure of having Mrs. Peyton as a teacher at Kettering Middle or Largo High School. However, my older brother Garth did, and he absolutely loved her, as did I. Mrs. Peyton was one of those individuals who not only taught inside the classroom, but in the hallways, cafeteria, or any other part of the school that deemed necessary. Even if you did not have Mrs. Peyton as a teacher, you felt her presence and knew who she was; there was always a face behind the name. She was very active and present in the lives of so many students and she will be truly missed. Mrs. Peyton contributed so much to the Prince George's County Public School System and because of her leadership, passion, and love; so many individuals have become better students, friends, and people. One whom possesses the ability to teach and lead others to understanding and wisdom is truly a blessed individual, and a gift from God given to this world. In your time of grief and loss, it is my solemn prayer, that you find peace and comfort in the arms of the Almighty. I know that the teachings of Mrs. Peyton will live on forever; her legacy will breathe new life every time one of her lessons is passed on; trickling out of the minds, spoken from the lips, and pouring from the hearts of any and all who once called her teacher. God Bless You All. Our prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
Chaconia and Garth Roach

My condolences go out to the Peyton and Hairston families for your loss. I know Ms. Peyton from Largo High School. She was my brother's guidance counselor and I was a student aide in the guidance office my senior year. I remember her as being the most kind hearted person I've seen in a long time. She loved and cared for her students and took the time out to help them along with those who were not her students. She also had an impact on all who were in her presence. Even as just a student aide she helped me out and didnt hesitate to answer questions. I see that she hadn't changed a bit because of the responses to her passing. She will definitely be missed. I will keep your family in prayer.

TO THE PEYTON and HAIRSTON Family you have my deepest sympathy in the loss of someone very dear to my heart. I first had the opportunity to meet Ms. Peyton when she taught my son (Frost) Spanish in Kettering Middle School. She always said he is going to learn Spanish whether he wanted to or not. Because he going to need it to graduate from middle school and high school. I then had the opportunity to reunite with her in Largo when she became his teacher there, and my other son (Michael) Peer Mediator instructor and guidance counselor. She was such a beautiful person because of her sweet personality and kind heart. When I saw her I always said THANK-YOU for what you did for my sons and for the inspirational words that they received. So I say thank you Ms. Richardson for the Angel GOD leant us for the period we had to share with her. And we know that she will be watching over each and every one of us with that smile. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

Wow!!!I can't believe I am saying this. I am at a loss for words. I remember Ms. Peyton giving me transcripts and hall passes throughout my years at Largo High School. She was always there for me when I needed her and always gave the best advice. I just saw you this past summer (2007) for my brothers graduation. You helped him come a long way too. I am pleased to say that you will always be missed, remembered, and prayers will be sent out to you and your family. I can see you now thinking about what senior student forgot to turn in the final work to graduate and how you can waive their issues. You stayed by our sides Ms. Peyton!!! I know you are proud of your students. Without you motivating us and not giving up, we would not be the successful students we are today. I love you and I know your in a better place.

May God be with you and your family.

In Loving Memory of Angie
Your time with us has come and gone but your memories will surely live on. You inspired me to be the best and now it will really be put to the test.
We've had good time and great memories. Now I will pass them on and do my best for all to see. You were my teacher and colleague too but I had also found a friend in you. Fourteen years is a long time, but you've took with you things that I chose to confide. You were an angel sent from above. You shared with us all your great joy and love. Your spirit is with us, this I know because I can feel it here. I remember a time when I was unsure of things in life but you were right there to guide me. I yearned to learn another language and you taught me. When I needed to cry, you held me. When I needed a friend, you were never forsaked me. I want to say thank you for all that you've done. And now I shall let you enjoy heaven and GOD. I send you off with lots of love. I will miss you being here but I know you have a better calling and more important duties now. Thank you for being an inpiration, a mentor, a confidant and a most importantly, a friend.

I love you and I'll miss you Angie.

Words cannot express how I felt when I heard that you were gone. Then, I had to step back and remember, Ms. Peyton, the body God gave you is no longer present here on Earth, but the spirit He gave you lies within all of us, eternally. You inspired me in ways more than a spanish teacher and guidance counselor could. The memorial last night, 1/9/08, conducted by the current Largo High School students and staff was truly uplifting. You are missed, but certainly not forgotten.

To the family of Ms. Peyton, You truly have my deepest sympathy. I had the pleasure of having Ms. Peyton as my Spanish teacher during my 7th grade year at Kettering Middle School in 1992. She was truly a joy and an excellent teacher. I remember all of my male classmates (in their adolescent state of minds) had a huge crush on Ms. Peyton because she was just that beautiful. She will truly be missed and I am truly saddened by this tragedy! To her kids, I too am a product of losing my mother at a very young age and my message to you is that throughout your life there will be so many times that you will feel the presence of your mother. You will know that she is there with you and helping you through all of your different trials and tribulations with life. Also know that she is ALWAYS with you in spirit and always with you in your heart. Stay strong and stay blessed all of you. To the family of Angie and to Mrs. Hairston, my most sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
To Angie, May GOD Bless you in eternal life. You will not be forgotten. You inspired me to be who I am and I appreciate that. I still can't believe that you're gone. I've known you for 14 years...since your days @ Kettering then Largo. You were the sweetest soul; professional yet caring. I couldn't have asked for a better person to be a mentor, friend and later colleague. GOD BLESS You Angie. May you Rest In Peace and may your family be at peace.

My condolences and prayers go out to Ms. Peyton and family. During my attendance at Largo, I had Ms. Peyton for all my years of Spanish. She was a very respected mentor to me and I will deeply miss her presence. If it had not been for her firmness and a leaning shoulder when I needed it in those days, I wouldn't have gotten my priorities right in life to how they are now. Again, it saddens me to hear this and may god bless you all in this time of grief.

My heart goes out to the Peyton Family. I worked with Ms. Peyton for 6 years at Largo High School. Before leaving Largo High School, Ms. Peyton and I worked closely with the Class of 2008 and upon graduation in May, we were hoping to walk out of the Comcast Center together with our 08' babies. I will miss her laugh and her laughing at my jokes. God brought us closer for a reason and I know he is watching over her. I will keep Ms. Peyton and the family in my prayers and hoping the family will come to some type of comfort of what happen. My nickmame for Ms. Peyton is Ms. Pey and I will miss saying that to her. GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

My deepest condolences goes out to Ms. Peyton and her family. She will truly be missed. She was my guidance counselor from 2000-2004 and she was the sweetest person you could ever meet. She not only cared about your progression in school, but as a human being. There are no words that could express the loss of Ms. Peyton, but she is looking down over us and we all know that she is with God in a better place.

To the Hairston and Peyton Family,

May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.

Ms. Peyton had a heart of gold and a smile that brightened any room. She had a major impact in my life and I will never forget the strength and wisdom that she possessed. She was not only my guidance counselor and peer mediator coordinator, but she was my friend and mentor. She encouraged me to do things that I thought I would never be able to do. I love her like a big sister and she will forever hold a place in my heart.

Gosh where do i start...
Well for starters may peace be with the peyton family and may her children grow up and learn how much of an angel their mother was to everyone she came in contact with. Ms. Peyton was one of my favorite teachers/mentors, I remember her from middle school till high school and i will never forget her. I loved her so much that i wanted her to be my mother so i hooked her and my dad up on a date and i will never forget accompanying them to a play just so i could try and control the chemistry that i wanted to spark between them. This news stunns me because it always seems like the good and positive individuals get taken away too soon. She had so much more to give to her family and to these children that she counseled everyday. I know one thing for sure, now she can rest peacefully and my father can finally ignite that spark i always wanted right in their new mansion upon hills of silver and gold. I will continue to lift you in my heart Ms. Peyton and you will never be forgotten. Love Always

Man
hearing the news of your loss rocked my foundation. It was like
somebody ripped a piece of me away. I met you when somobody coaxed me
into becoming apart of peer mediation and to this day im glad that i
did. I met a beautiful spirit who made such an impact on my life and
helped me become the person i am today. Gone but definitely never ever
forgotten. We will meet again. Until then I pray your family can be
strong enough to continue to live the lives you would want them to lead.
Love
you much Tonya c/o 99

I would like to send my condolences to the Peyton Family. Anglea Peyton was my boys counselor at Largo. If had a problem or concern, I knew that I could call her for help. There would be times when we would just talk and laugh on the phone and forget about what we were calling about. She will be truly missed.

Mrs. Peyton,

I am so Shocked and saddened by the loss of Mrs. Peyton. She was such an iatrical part of my success at Largo H.S. Even though she was never my counselor at Largo, She would always make time to talk to me and make sure everything was going well in my classes. She even wrote a recommendation letter for me when I was applying for colleges. Whenever I walked into her office she always greeted me with a smile and open arms. Thank you for your love and support Mrs. Peyton...you will be truly missed.

Ms. Peyton was my 7th grade spanish teacher and guidance counselor in the 12th grade at Largo. Eventhough, I haven't seen Ms. Peyton since I graduated from Largo in 2000. All of these wonderful memories of her came racing back. She was a thoughtful, sincere, dedicated, teacher and counselor. Thank you for sharing your daughter with us and letting her make an impression in our lives, as she has done for you. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. May God Bless the family and give you all strength at your time of need.

Like many of my fellow classmates(1999) we all love Ms. Peyton more than a teacher but as a family member or a friend. I loved her and will truly missed her. She was one of the greatest teachers and counselor.
