Angela Mary Sanders, 66, Warfordsburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her home. Born June 29, 1955, in Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Anna (Maurer) Slamen and the wife of Larry Sanders whom she married on April 26, 1980. She was a 1973 graduate of Saint Cyril Academy, Danville, PA. She was an accomplished breeder and member of the Miniature Pinscher Club of America and American Kennel Club. She loved to fish, garden, bake and paint.In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Carmen Sanders Tyser, and husband Kevin, of Silver Spring, MD; a son, Jan Sanders also of Silver Spring, MD.; a sister, Agnes Slamen of Florida; two nephews, Dennis Gwinn of Delaware, and Dominic Gwinn of Michigan; and a sister-in-law, Mary Sanders of Silver Spring, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Monika Slamen and her in-laws, Art and Pauline Sanders.The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 7, 2021, 2 to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, December 8, 2021,10 to 11 a.m. at Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd W, Silver Spring MD. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home Mike Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
