Anita Willett Obituary

Anita Willett was born in Camden, New Jersey to Kenneth and Agnes McComas on August 21, 1934. She passed peacefully away on June 13, 2024, at age 89 in Tipp City, Ohio.
Anita attended Andrews University in Berrian Springs, Michigan, where she met and then married the love of her life, Edward F. Willett, on December 26, 1953. They had three children, Jeffrey, Gary, and Deborah.
The consummate hostess, Anita enjoyed hosting family and friends at their home. Lauded for her lively Christmas Eve parties, Anita never met a stranger, and loved to stop and talk with people she met while out and about.
While raising their three children, Anita completed beautician school, managed the gift shop at Washington Adventist Hospital for a number of years, and volunteered with the hospital foundation guild.
Anita was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey, and her loving husband, Edward, of 67 years. She is survived by cherished son Gary (Vilma) and daughter Deborah (Michael); dear sister Midge (Lester); adored grandchildren Lauren, Nicole (Mike), and Cassandra (Matthew), and treasured great-grandchildren Scarlet, Maci, Ethan, and Cooper.
Graveside services were held at Fort Lincoln in Brentwood, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Anita's son Jeffrey.
