ANN LORENA BORNSTEIN  Raleigh, NC  
Our beloved Wife and Mother, Ann Lorena Bornstein, passed away on December 23, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Ann was born in Washington, DC in 1940, and attended Immaculate Conception High School and St. Joseph's College. She started as an elementary school teacher, worked for the New Republic Magazine, and eventually became involved with advocacy and consumer affairs, working first for the National Farmers Organization, and later with the National Rural Electric Coop Association. She was part of the Women in Government Relations Membership in the late 1970's.She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Garet; her daughters, Lise and Eileen; and her sister, Judy Markolf. There will be a private burial in January. A memorial service for family and friends will be organized for a future date in 2021.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org/donate.Services by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Saint Mary's St., Raleigh, NC.
