To think of Mac is to think of joy, goodness, and love. It has been over 20 years since I attended Vienna Elementary, but I still remember Mac. He knew the name of every child in school, as well as any siblings that came before or after. I can remember going back to visit when I was in high school, and Mac was there and still remembered my name. I have such fond memories of my elementary school years, and Mac has a prominent place among those memories. He was truly one in a million. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mac's family.

I am 37 now, so my first meeting w/Mac goes back 30 years, but neither I nor my siblings (nor my parents) will ever forget him. We can all see Mac's face and his smile as clear as day right now!! I came back occasionally to visit, some 10 and 15 years after graduating from Vienna Elementary, and Mac ALWAYS remembered me and asked about my family.

May he rest in peace.

The name "Mac" brings a smile to every face in our family. Our three children attended Vienna Elementary School during the years from 1975-1986. Mac was the first person to greet them as they stepped off the school bus in the morning, and he saw them safely onto the homeward bound bus at the end of the day. Mac watched over our children while they were at school, he fixed broken lunchboxes, he dried tears, and he provided gentle but firm direction when it was needed. Mac knew the name of every child who attended Vienna Elementary on his watch, and he knew the names of their parents as well. Mac was their "in-school" Dad, their friend, and their mentor. He will contnue to hold a very special place in our hearts. May his sweet soul rest in peace.

Our heartfelt condolences go Mac's dear wife and family.
