Friend/best buddies in Junior High- brilliant, clever, level headed and original. Like a fine wine, I bet he only got better with time

I am deeply saddened to learn of Avrom's passing. I worked closely with Avrom over the last 10 years of his career in international development and then he and I would get together for lunch a few times a year following his retirement. I have very seldom met someone who's insights I valued so highly and who's friendship I appreciated so much. I will greatly miss him and his wisdom.
