Barbara Ann Gilliam
Born to the late Marion R. Robertson Sr. and Marguerite C. Robertson. Barbara Gilliam transitioned on Thursday, July, 20, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter; Donna C. Gilliam; two grandchildren; Jontae' D. Gilliam and Taylor N. Shaw, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, August, 5, 2023 at 10 a.m., followed by Homegoing service at 11 a.m., at McGuire Funeral Home, 7400 Georgia Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20012. Interment, Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

My deepest expression of sympathy to Barbara's entire family. I will truly miss Barbara. We have been best friends for more than sixty years. We have literally grown together and shared many happy experiences. I have a volume of loving memories of Barbara that I will forever cherish.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of a very dear friend. I will miss Barbara's laugh, smile, and beautiful spirit. I will always remember the wonderful events that we shared at UMES.

Ms Gilliam was my Home Economics Teacher 59 yrs ago at Taft Junior High School. The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don´t tell you what to see. It is a blessing to have known her for so long.
I personally have lost a mentor, a friend, and a great human being. To Donna, her daughter, and the Gilliam family my Sincere Condolences.
