March 6, 2025

Barbara, a great friend and 13th floor neighbor of my beloved late mother Marjorie Fisher, has become a best friend of mine over the last 3.5 years. Her constant inquisitiveness and passionate need to create have pushed me to persist in my own post-retirement career in photojournalism. We regularly compared notes on our ability to still get published after all these years. Her love and compassion for people, animals and life forms of all kinds has been infectious and inspiring. Her great care of my mother's dear cat Cora resulted in a beautiful account of their lives together in the endearing book Cora the Cat: On Loan From God. When I visited at GHBC we always shared a Grand Marnier until midnight. Our late night phone calls always brought a sense that there can be hope for love and peace in this world. I'll always love Barbara and thank her for her inspiration and guidance. Donna in Allentown
