My dad was a wise and caring man who loved his family dearly. He and his sense of humor were a delight. More than ten years later, I miss him and his guidance every day.

We were truly saddened to learn of Ben's passing. We have lost touch since the death of the senior Davenports in 1994, but always remember both Ben and Lee with affection for their friendship and kindnesses to us and our family in the early years. Our prayers go out for Ben, Lee and their family.

Melanie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of your father's quiet presence when I came over to your house in Chevy Chase.
I am thinking of you all at this diffucult time.
