Benjamin J. Gollub

Benjamin J. Gollub (Age 34) of Gaithersburg, MD, died December 19, 2024, at home suddenly, unknown causes. He is survived by his loving wife Dian Dong, cherished daughter Arielle Dong Gollub, father Mark Gollub, mother Yehudit Danoff (Louis), sister Sammi Gollub, brother Tristan Arey (Mareike), father and mother-in-law Tianhua and Ming Dong, grandfather Kenneth Skelps, Ret. Lt Col, USAF (Cathy) and a host of adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Melvin and Ada Gollub and Kathleen Knepp (Raymond).

Ben was born in Rockville, MD on May 6, 1990. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Computer Science, where he met his beloved Dian. He excelled in his career as a DevOps Engineer and was everyone's computer geek on the outside. Ben was passionately devoted to his entire family, especially Arielle, with whom he loved and cared for with special intensity and tenderness. True to his personality, Ben lived and worked with a positive attitude, along with strict ethical integrity, and went the extra mile in taking care of everyone around him. In his spare time, he documented his love of travel, exploring new places and restaurants with Dian.

Though he grew up in the Jewish faith, he recently chose to convert to the Roman Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church in Gaithersburg, MD.
