Dear Gerrie,
Emmett and I were so saddened to learn of the death of your father. I ran into Phil and he shared your loss with me. You are such a kind and generous person and I know that your Dad must have been very proud of you. It is never easy to lose anyone much less your parent; however, our time is in God's hands and we must trust that His plan for us is the right one. Take comfort in your family and friends and know that I am honored to have you and Phil as friends as well. Take care and please send our condolences to your family. Our prayers are with you. God Bless.
Fondly,
Trish

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Ben. We saw Ben two years ago when we were up in Arlington for my Mum's funeral. Claude has been remembering how far back he and Ben go, he remembers the early years, when Ben would drive him around - because he wasn't old enough to drive - that's over 50 years. Long time friends are far and few between - but fond memories of the past will help fill the void. Please convey our deepest sympathy to the family. Claude sends his love to Janis, who he has known for many, many years. Ben will be deeply missed.

I've known Ben for about 7-years now. His dry sense of humor never failed to get a laugh out of me. Over the years, almost on a daily basis, I could count on a funny e-mail or two from him. So much so, that I would check my home e-mail account from work to get my daily "fix". Not withstanding his humorous side he had a keen sense of politics in this "political" town. I never tired of discussing politics or world affairs with him. He will be greatly missed!

To my Poppy,
Thank you for all you have given me.
My love for history, books, words, talk radio, sense of humor and of course my life.
You always made me feel special. The extra quarters you slipped me for the pinball machines at myrtle beach. The walks early in the morning while on vacations when everybody else was asleep. The never ending pinch on the earlobe which meant you loved me.
Words like catastrophe, M.R. tummy getters and so many more, will always have special meaning.
I love you more then you could possibly know.

My Daddy...and my friend. Yes, I still called him Daddy. But, I thought of him as my friend. I feel so lucky to have had him as long as I did.
