Years ago, my physician, Walter Goo, referred me to Dr. Laps for a very nasty and infected ingrown toenails. He was a delightful person and a highly skilled podiatrist. Before I went to Dr. Laps, I did not know what podiatrists did. While I was a patient, I learned that Dr. Laps had invented the surgical procedure for ingrown toenails /- and that he had treated Bill Sutherland, one of the three founding partners of my law firm at the time. In the intervening 40 years, I never have had problems with ingrown toenails. I think of Dr. Laps every time I change my shoes and socks!
