BESSIE DOFFLEMYER SAUNDERS "Mapa"
Bessie Dofflemyer Saunders, age 84 of Annandale, VA, on January 15, 2013. Wife of the late Thomas "Spike" Moore. Funeral will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the National Funeral Home,7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church,VA. Burial will follow at National Memorial Park Cemetery. I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Bessie's death, just today, from my sister, Iona Dofflemyer Kiger, who was married to Clark (Bessie's dad) for a number of years until his death. During those years I remember sharing so many family holidays and events, watching many of you grow up and have children of your own. Since I missed the service, I went by the gravesite today to say goodbye and pay my respects. All of you are in my heart, thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Bessie was a very sweet, wonderful lady who will be greatly missed. Sending you much sympathy and love.

We were reminded during our Bible reading that "Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His saints." Psalm 116:15
Surely God is smiling at his Saint, Bessie!
We knew Bessie through Braddock Baptist. She ALWAYS wore a smile and the love of Jesus on her face! She was a beautiful woman and a blessing to us!
We know that you will miss her! We have you in our prayers!
