Bonnie Frazelle Obituary

Bonnie Carol Frazelle, 79, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on August 15, 2024, surrounded by her family, after suffering a stroke on July 23.

Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, Bonnie was the daughter of Jessie Ray Bradfield and Edna (Schnaible) Bradfield. She graduated from Augustana University and obtained a master's degree in zoology from the University of Illinois. In 1973, Bonnie married David R. Frazelle, with whom she celebrated her 51st wedding anniversary this year.

Bonnie is survived by her husband David; her sons Brian and Daniel, her daughters-in-law Sarah Trippensee and Laura Frazelle; her grandsons Everett and Alistair; and her sisters Betty Person and Peggy Stacey.

The family will receive friends at 4 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 5:15 p.m., on Saturday, August 24, at Faith Church Kingstowne, 5725 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, VA 22315. Donations may be made to the Koinonia Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia, where Bonnie was a longtime volunteer, http://www.koinoniacares.org/.
