BRIAN KEITH ROBERTS "B-Rob" (Age 51)
Of Washington, DC passed away April 22, 2014 after a long battle with brain cancer. Survived by son Marshall Roberts, mother Sarah Roberts, six sisters, 13 nephews, and 19 nieces. A memorial service will held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 6 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 1636 East Capital St., NE, Washington DC. In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to the Brian Roberts Student Leadership Scholarship (#885952) at Virginia Tech, University Development (0336), 902 Prices Fork Rd., Blacksburg, VA 24061.

I have so many fond memories of Brian - and even today can hear him greeting me with "Wendy Tien, how you bein'." He was a tremendous person, generous with his time and his sense of humor, and dogged in his pursuit of social justice. Miss you, B!

I was fortunate to work with Brian in Texas when he was defending clients facing the death penalty. He was brave and hard-working and compassionate, and his passing is a great loss to everyone who cares about justice. I hope his friends and family can take comfort in knowing that Brian touched many people's hearts with love.

The first "road trip" my Sands and I made when we crossed was with "Frankie P" to Virginia Tech to see their "Lamps" during the Spring of 1984. The first person who welcomed us was Brian. He showed us so much Omega love and hospitality and I will never forget it. Rest in Peace my Brother.
