I was fortunate to work with Brian in Texas when he was defending clients facing the death penalty. He was brave and hard-working and compassionate, and his passing is a great loss to everyone who cares about justice. I hope his friends and family can take comfort in knowing that Brian touched many people's hearts with love.

Brian, we will miss you as a Fraternity brother, colleague, and friend.

As difficult as it is for us to understand, we also understand that our God has instructed us that he will not leave us or forsake us.

For this reason, I say Thy work is done, Rest in Peace.

The first "road trip" my Sands and I made when we crossed was with "Frankie P" to Virginia Tech to see their "Lamps" during the Spring of 1984. The first person who welcomed us was Brian. He showed us so much Omega love and hospitality and I will never forget it. Rest in Peace my Brother.
