On Tuesday, March 13, 2007 of Gaithersburg, MD. Beloved husband of Amy Lynn Lawhorne; devoted father of Samantha and Lindee; cherished son of Lois E. and the late Samuel D. Lawhorne; dear brother of Brian D., Brent E. (Jenny) and Brad C. Lawhorne and David Thomas. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the HINES RINALDI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, March 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. Interment private. Bruce, Samantha and I miss you terribly. We think about you daily. We so wish you were still here. I found more things that belong to you last night. Samantha and I are very proud of all your accomplishments over the years. Lindee is going to college to become a chemist you would be proud of her. All our love to you.

Bruce was a great friend to those of us that were his friends. He will dearly be missed by all that knew him.

I also only knew Bruce from the internet. But in the short time he became good freind who was always willing to help out a fellow freind. I will miss the chats we used to have. I hope you have finally found peace, god know you deserve it. Goob bye old freind

I too did not have the pleasure of knowing Bruce personally. But through the internet I saw Bruce as a caring, thoughtful, honest, and helpful person. What a wonderful husband, father, and friend he must have been. You will be greatly missed by all who had any contact with you.

I did not know you for very long, but the man I knew was a friend, in every sense of the word. I miss chatting with you. I just wish there was more time.
There is never enough time in this life, it seems, but I am glad that I spent some of it getting to know you. It is something that I will value, and treasure.

I didn't know clone very long, but in the time I did he was a polite, helpfull, respectfull person. Became decent friends. Will truly be missed.

I didn't know Bruce personally except for the internet and I had benefited often from his wisdom.

There is not much more i can say that has not been said. Bruce was a great man who gave all he had to help others and expected nothing in return.Though i knew bruce only a few years he will be sadly missed by all that knew him!To Amy & Samantha here is a little poem i found for you two, be strong, move forward and remember all the good times.

Bruce.you where one of the greatest person that i have ever got to know even thou we where only friends for such a short time.you where always there to help me when ever i needed it.and for anyone elese who needed you.and you will be missed bye so many.i will never forget you my friend.we will talk again one day and we will have alot to talk about.my prayers will be with your family in this time of sorro.

Bruce, I hope you realized all of the lives you touched while you we're here. I only knew you for a short time but thats all it took to realize how genuine and caring a person you truly were. You looked out for people when others chose not to. You stood up for people when others would'nt. Thats a rare trait in people these days. Just know that the deeds you did for people did not go un-noticed. Rest in peace my friend.

Hello my love, my husband it's only been 5 days and I terribly miss you and want you here with us, but like I said to you before you left us no more pain, no more pills. You will always be loved by Samantha and I and you will always be in our hearts as I told you in the last hours of your life. I am so greatful for the 16+ years I spent with you and all of the fun we had, the memories I have will last a lifetime. I can feel you when I sit in your chair as if you were holding me. I think I hear your voice but than I don't. Just know that I told you I would be by your side through those days spent in the hospital and I was. The friends you have are incredible, the overwhelming support that I am in reach of is wonderful but I have to say I miss you more than anything and with Samantha your daughter with me we will be strong and make it through the tough roads ahead. WITH ALL MY LOVE AND HEART.....I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!! LOVE AMY

Bruce, we will all miss YOU.
Bruce was a true friend, always there when you need someone, even if it is just to talk to. I will miss talking on the phone, our barbeques, and dinners, all the gatherings that we had, really great times.
I have said it many times, Bruce was like Will Rogers, He never met a person he did not like, nor did anyone I know ever say a negative thing about Bruce. A wonderful guy, would do anything for you, without hesitation, a big heart, and full of compassion and caring. God Bless You Bruce, we will always have you in our hearts.
