CARL BACHURSKI Obituary


CARL BACHURSKI (Age 97)  
Of McLean, VA, died November 30, 2016. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church, McLean, VA, on Friday, December 9 at 1:30 p.m. Carl was born in Philadelphia, PA, one of ten siblings. He served as Staff Sergeant in the 704th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the U.S. Army's 4th Armored Division during World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service, and a Purple Heart Medal. Upon his return from the service, Carl worked as brick and stone mason. He was passionate about gardening and exploring the great outdoors. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. A kind and loving man, Carl raised four daughters with his wife of 67 years, Gloria van der Loo Bachurski. He exemplified humility, grace, humor, and genuine respect for everyone he met.  Carl is greatly loved and missed by his daughters Lynda Grey, Susan Bachurski (John Shore), Carla Allen and Laura Bachurski.

My deepest condolences to the family for your loss.Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years .He was very special indeed!
