I enjoyed knowing and working with Carl at the Rockville Western office in the late 90's and early '00s. Now I have the privilege of working with his son Rick at American Pest. Carl was a great guy. He always was cracking a joke or smiling. My sincere sympathies to the family.

I was very sad to hear that Carl passed away last week. It would be difficult to picture a service at St. John's at which he did not have a leadership role. As a substitute organist there, I have relied on him several times to give me cues, particularly at the beginning of a service. May he rest in peace.

Carl was a faithful churchman and a pleasure to work with. He served as verger and organized most of our worship serves in the years we served together. I hope heaven is ready for him!
