Carlton Bentz Obituary
Dr. Carlton L. Bentz (Age 90) U.S. Foreign Service Officer
Dr. Carlton "Carl" L. Bentz of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully at home following a long illness on Friday, July 15, 2022. Married for 67 years, he was the husband of Henrietta J. Bentz. Carl was born in Palmerton, PA on November 2, 1931 and was the son of the late Luther and Margaret Bentz. He honorably served in the United States Army – Korean War and the United States Department of State, Office of Overseas Schools, as a Regional Education Officer for 29 years. Survived by his wife Henrietta (Davis); daughter Rita (Ronald) Perlman of Washington D.C. and son Douglas (Michelle) Bentz of Germantown, MD. He leaves behind five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at noon, followed by a 1 p.m. memorial service at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.

Mrs. Bentz, Rita, Ron, Doug and Michelle, we are so sorry for your loss. There are no words to express our feelings for dear Mr. Bentz and our long and deep friendship with him and you, Mrs. Bentz. He will always have a special place in the hearts of our families (Georgina, Jesús, Jorge and Elia, Antonio, Ania Itzia). We will remember him very fondly with much love and respect.
