Carol Hediger Obituary



HEDIGER CAROL B. HEDIGER Carol Bernadyn Hediger, 58, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, died March 31, 2009 at her home in Aldie, VA. Mrs. Hediger succumbed to lung cancer after a courageous four year battle. She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ in 1951 and received her Bachelor''s degree in psychology from Douglass College, Rutgers University in 1973. Mrs. Hediger worked for over 20 years as a career business professional with Northrop Grumman in Northern Virginia. Survivors include her husband, Eric M. Hediger, of Aldie, VA; two sons, Kurt M. Hediger of Newport Beach, CA and Brian P. Hediger of Boulder, CO; mother, Anna Yakubik Bernadyn of Fords, NJ; and sister, Bernice A. Medwick (husband Charles Medwick) of Fords, NJ. Memorial services for Mrs. Hediger will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 4, at the Fairfax Presbyterian Church, 10723 Main Street, Fairfax VA 22030. In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Carol Bernadyn Hediger Scholarship at Douglass College, Rutgers University. This scholarship will support Douglass students who are interested in business and live in the Women and Business Entrepreneurship House at Douglass. Checks should be made payable to the "Douglass Annual Fund" with a note indicating the gift is for the Carol Bernadyn Hediger Scholarship, and mailed to: Associate Alumnae of Douglass College, 181 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

Eric,Curt and Brian, Carol was a dear cousin and will always be remembered in a loving way. She was truly a wonderful and inspiring woman. My deepest sympathy is with you at this time. The memories I have will always be with me and make me smile. Love to you, Kathy and John Morin
