I have a gift from Carol in my bedroom. I think of my then best friend everyday when I see it. Carol, you are still so loved and so missed my cherished friend.

Carol, my best friend, I miss you every day. There is something to remind me of you everywhere I look. We had so much fun in life. I still love and miss you greatly.

Rest in peace Carol, way too young to be called away. I fondly remember our friendship in college when we sat together in US History class being taught by a Harvard grad professor who lectured for 50 minutes without taking a breath - neither of us could take notes fast enough, and his exams were killers ( all essays). Miss your smile!

Carol, not a day passes that I don't think about you. I talked about you with a friend just yesterday. I miss the warmth of your love and I will always treasure the time I had with you my dear friend. I always cry when I talk about you Carol. You just didn't realize how special you were.

I still miss Carol everyday. We shared such fond memories all the way through school and I was so pleased when she became the first female Chief of Police for Montgomery Co., MD. Although, I wasn't surprised as I had watched all of her previos assignments in the Department and some of them were scary for me. I miss my good friend today with love and respect.

May she find the peace that has eluded her for so many years. We have already missed you for a long time.

Dear Ken and Family,
Carol was the greatest friend, the most effective professional, the kindest human, the most caring person. May she enjoy her eternal life in the presence of God!
Love, Mary Allman

I fell in love with Carol the first day I met her, when she was dating my next-door neighbor. We double-dated with Pete deVos many times. During my 4 years in the Navy, at mail call there was ALWAYS a letter from Carol. The last time I saw her (at the Sunshine House?) in I think Montgomery Village, I had to leave the room when the nurse brought her out because I had started to cry so hard, and I did not want her to see that. I have loved her for almost 50 years, and she will ALWAYS own a piece of my heart. I will miss her dearly, and will NEVER forget her and our times together. I love you, Carol, and may you rest in peace.

I went to high school and college with this wonderful lady, know that she was loved as police chief. She will be terribly missed. I hope that she is finally at peace.

Carol and I were friends from 4th grade on. I have so many fond memories. We shared in all of life's events like weddings for both of us, babies, but never was I as proud as when I sat in the audience when she made Chief of Police. Carol, my love for you will never die. Rest my precious.
