Casey Weir Obituary
Casey was a marvelous, brilliant, beautiful young woman who is gone way too soon. She was a graduate of Watkins Mill High School in Gaithersburg, MD, where she was active in the National Honor Society, the Concert & Marching Bands, and the Cross Country & Track teams. Upon graduation, Casey attended the College of Charleston, SC, on an out-of-state scholarship. She was graduated in 2008, with a B.S. degree in Physics and a minor in mathematics.
Casey spent the last years of her life as a researcher & writer for various on-line agencies. She was a strict vegetarian from her teen-age years, and loved Indian food. She was a voracious reader, but her passion was helping those less fortunate than herself. And she loved her cats: Star, Rowdy, Athena, & especially Potter, whom she adopted while in college.
Casey is survived by her parents, Jim & Susan Weir; by her godparents, James & Mary Nagorski; & by aunts, uncles, & cousins far too numerous to list.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Casey's Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York PA 17402, with Fr. St. Dennis as celebrant. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the Mass, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, family & friends are encouraged to make donations in Casey's name to the Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 12 Hartman Ave., Onancock, VA, 23417, or @ escadv.org.
