CAV. CESARINA CHIARAPPA HORING (Age 79)
Passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Washington, DC. Devoted mother of Joseph Horing. Daughter of Maria Ciocchi Chiarappa and Nicola Giorgio "George" Chiarappa. Sister of Dino P. Chiarappa, Nicholas G. Cori, Elvira Chiarappa de Micheroux and Herbert H. Chiarappa.A visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032 on Friday, January 20, from 2 to 8 p.m., with Rosary Service at 7 p.m., and on Saturday, January 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Fairfax Memorial Park. A Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, January 23, at 1 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, 595 Third St. NW, Washington, DC 20001. Please arrive early as major delays are expected. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Italian Cultural Society, 4827 Rugby Avenue, Suite #301, Bethesda, MD 20814, which will be used to start a scholarship fund in Cesarina's name.

We have lost a wonderful friend, mentor, and teacher. The teachers of Italian in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia owe so much to Cesarina. She has been a constant source of support and encouragement. How fortunate we are to have known her.
