I am so sorry to hear of this. I will keep the family in my prayers.

Hetty: Barbara and I are saddened to hear of Chick's passing. Our sincere condolences to you and your family. Thank you for sharing Chick with us and our family. Our adult children often asked about Chick. My theory is any adult who can make teenagers feel welcome and retain their interest (as Chick did with mine at various Utility Solid Waste Group meetings) is on the "A" list. --Mike Hertel, USWAG chair for 10 years when Chick was counsel to our group.

I have nothing but good memories of Uncle Chick, from staying with him and my aunt and cousins during the summer, to being included on family vacations, to living with them and "car-pooling" on the back of his motorcycle during a summer break from college... he was truly one of the kindest and most generous people I've ever known.

We were so sad to hear of Chick's passing, but comforted to know that as a transplant recipient he lived his life fully. He did not pass by a normal day without appreciation and wonder.
