The impressions of your face

I've painted in my memories.

Even though you are not with us,

We will always be with you.

Even though you were so close to us,

God felt it would be better if you were with Him,

Safe- in His arms in heaven.

Now we find ourselves in question,

Never thinking we would say one last good-bye.

I can think back to the memories--the good and the bad,

The smiles, the laughter, the sobs, and the sorrow.

You were so amazing in every way.

We will say a prayer for you every night.

Now we know if we ever need

Warmth, strength, support, or comfort,

In our memories we will find you.

Bye, Chucky; I love you

Our Teddy Bear is no longer with us on earth, but he will always live on in our hearts and minds. Chucky was my oldest new nephew. My mother's oldest new grandson, and uncle to everyone he met. We have travelled many places together and had big fun whereever and whenever our Teddy Bear was present. Chucky was truly an Angel sent from God. We will always remember you.

It is amazing how people come into your life and you don't really know what they mean to you until they are gone. That is how I feel. I wish I would have spent more time with Chucky because he could always make me laugh. Now all I have are the memories which hopefully will keep me laughing. While I am sad, I am also glad to have known Chucky. He will never know how much he meant to me but his memory will live on in my heart.

I miss you!!!

Baby this is so hard for me to do. I still haven't been able to fathom the thought and realization that you are no longer here with me. I know that you are in a better place and we will take that next step to validate our bond when we meet again. No matter who will never know, you and I know the love that we had for one another. I thank you for loving me and allowing me to love you. We had so much fun together and I know that was only the beginning. I've never met anyone so appreciative of the little things as much as you. It makes me smile to know that I made you happy. Chucky baby, you can now get the rest that you were deprived of baby. God is watching over you, snore as loud as you want now baby!! This is making me body hurt as I write this to you. I can still hear your voice saying "we gonna do this right", "No baby daddy, I want to be your husband."

I can't be angry or question God. All I can do is say thank you. It was a blessing and a lesson to have you in my life. You are eternally in my heart baby. I love you.

Ms. Claudette: As time goes by, and the calls and cards lessen, just know that Chucky was a gift to all he encountered. Please just pray. Paul, I thank you immensely for helping me cope with this. It felt good to talk about the "real" Chucky together, we know where he was headed. He loved you very much and appreciated your friendship. The rest of the gang(Slick Rick, Kory, Jeff) till we meet again.

"Springfield" loves you baby.

Chucky,

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.

He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.

His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.

And knew that you would never get well on earth again.

He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes,

He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.

When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,

We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.

You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,

You live on in our hearts, you're always by our side.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

You will be missed by all you have touched.

Love Always

My condolences go out to the entire Craig Family and the Lake Arbor Community Center staff.

I struggled with writing this before, because of disbelief of this sudden tragedy. I attended the viewing today and was forced to the realization of the heartbreaking news of Mr. Chuck (that is what my boys and I have always known him as MR. a respected gentleman). Along with me were my fourteen and six year old whom established a connection with him over this past school year. Whenever I would pick up my six year old from the Lake Arbor Community Center and Mr. Chuck was there he would always have a funny story or something to share, he would just always make me laugh. It was just a blessing to know such a great person like him had some type of impact on my boy’s lives.

Chucky you will be greatly missed. It always was a pleasure seeing you working with our children at Lake Arbor Community Center. My two sons’ really appreciated your positive words and funny sense of humor. You had a special gift and love for children. That is magnificent. It was a blessing for us to have had this encounter in all of our lives.

God Bless,

Marcell and Derrick Jr.

My Sympathy goes out to Mr. Charles D. "Chucky" Craig family. I did not know Charles as well as others, who neighbors know him as "Chucky" but when I did see Chucky outside in the neighborhood near my Grandmother's house on Central Avenue, SE. Chucky may be getting in or out his vehicle or talking or giving advised to the other neighbors, but we always acknowledge each other by speaking.

I know the children and younger adults in the neighborhood of Central Avenue Always Respected and look up to Chucky as a Father Figure and a Peace Maker for everyone....One thing I can say from hearing all the positive things from the neighbors of Chucky on Central Avenue, That Chucky was a Real Man with a Good Heart and who care about people well being and somone who you could count on anytime...Chucky will be truly missed in this neighborhood.

But GOD has now called Chucky home to Heaven to earned his Golden Wings because of all the GOD Blessing things that Chucky has shared, gave and done for others here on Earth....Chucky is now a Peace Maker in Heaven for GOD.

My GOD BLESS The Craig Family and Friends of Chucky at this time of Sorrow.

Respectfully,

I will miss Chucky, his smile and his kind spirit. Although I only knew him for a short time, it feels like I have known him for a very long time. He was just that kind of person. His memory will live on within my soul. The world has lost a great person but heaven has gained a wonderful soul. I will miss you Chucky and will always remember you. My heart is heavy but it consoles me to know that you are in a better place. I only wish that I could have said good-bye and let you know that for the short while that you called me "Ma", I will always cherish that in my heart. Thank you for all of your kindness you showed to my daughter and grand-daughter. When I told NicKayla about your leaving us, she cried and said "He was my friend." I think that sums up our feelings. We all will miss you very much.

To my beloved Chucky:

Words cannot express how much I miss you. There were so many things left that we were going to do, so many trips to take, so many more places to go. In the short time that I had you in my life, you have changed my life more than any person that I've EVER met and I thank you SO much for that. I remember when I first met you and even with the first thing you said, I knew you were someone special. I remember part of the day of our first date was watching you coach at Lake Arbor. I remember being so proud of you and seeing how proud you were of those kids and what you did. You were larger than life and you gave so much to the people that you touched, even those who never knew you. You NEVER tried to change me; you listened to me and never judged me. We laughed so many times and even though I was silly, you were the funniest person on God's green earth. A part of me is gone and it literally aches that you are not here. The world has truly lost its most precious gem and I am so angry because of it. You made it so easy and so natural to just be myself with you, that was something that no one had ever given me and these last few months with you were the happiest that I ever had in my whole life. You had so much more to give to this world, but you leave all of us to have to figure what to do now that you're not in this world - and thats something that I don't know if I want to have to do, because there were so many things that we had left to do, so many conversations to have, just so many, many things.

To All of His Family & Ms. Craig, I cannot emphasize how much of a wonderful son you had and I thank you SO MUCH for him. He did a lot for so many people and always extended himself to others.

Nico, I hope you realize and always remember how much Chucky really loved you and wanted so much for you.

Thank you, Jeff, for allowing me to share a part of you alls weekends together, whether it was the movies, dinner, or the trips we had planned to take. I knew he loved you and I was proud to have been included in all the times that we had together. To Don, Rick, Keith, Paul (Lou, Mike, Gigi and the entire Lake Arbor Community Center)thank you for sharing with me just a small sample of what you all had loved for so many, many, many years. He truly meant everything to me and he loved you all so very much.

With Love Always,

Keisha
