CHARLES IRVING DAWSON "Irv"
Charles Irving "Irv" Dawson, age 77, of The Villages, Florida died Saturday May 11, 2013 in Leesburg, Florida. He was born in Frostburg, Maryland and came to The Villages from Singer Island, Florida. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed as a civilian for 15 years with the U.S. Government. Mr. Dawson was a retired Security Specialist for Lockheed Martin. Mr. Dawson was protestant by faith and a member of the United States Golf Association and an avid golfer.Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Carole G. Dawson, The Villages, FL; brother, Bruce (Maggie) Dawson, Jacksonville Beach, FL; aunt, Shirley Morgan, Barton, MD; and several cousins.A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the U.S. Navy Memorial Fund, 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004. Online condolences may be left at www.beyersfuneralhome.com. Carol Iam so sorry to hear about Irv. Am at my son's in MD. and emailed Jim and Rose, getting back the upsetting news. Please feel free to call or write me any time!!!!!!I still have good days and bad but all in all miss Mike very much. Iam doing ok by keeping busy at church and the Am. Legion and senior centers.
