Charles A. Green

Charles A. (Bob) Green formerly of Brookland, NE, Washington,DC and Beltsville, MD, died peacefully at the age of 93, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 surrounded by his family in Dayton, MD.
Born on January 15, 1932, in Plainfield, NJ, Bob was a proud graduate of McKinley Tech High School and the owner/operator of High Point Shell. A true renaissance man, he was a college football player, auto mechanic, avid reader, short order cook, artist, animal lover, military history buff, wood worker, florist, stock car racer, member of the Brookland Club, football, baseball and track coach and mentor to countless. Most importantly, he was a faith-filled, supportive and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, coach, mentor and friend.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Laura Cain Monaco Green and his son, Joseph Green (Colleen). He is survived by his devoted children, Mary Favret Kerley (Vincent), Maggie Schanne (Gregg), Paul Green (Heather), John (Bo) Green, (Kelly), E. Kathy Green Meadowcroft (Tom), Jennifer Marcinko (Jim), sister-in-law, Joan Cain, 19 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 Liberty Rd., Eldersburg, MD. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Marriottsville, MD.
