Charles Houston Obituary

HOUSTON, CHARLES L., JR. (Age 89)

Died Sunday, November 21, 2004, at his home. Mr. Houston retired as a Lt. Col., USAF, December 31, 1960. After his military retirement, he worked as the Deputy Director of a six county federal program in Arkansas. He and his wife lived in Orlando, FL for 17 years. Mr. Houston was an avid golfer and bowler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Virginia Dare Houston in 1984. His son, Charles and daughter-in-law, Loretta, survive him. His sister, Charlotte Sue Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Houston; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, also survivie him. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rita and son, Gordon. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Decmeber 4, at 11 a.m. at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, 8521 Sudley Rd., Manassas, VA 20108. The family will receive friends after the memorial at their residence, 5205 High Grove Hills Lane, Centreville, VA.
