Charles Thomas Obituary

Dr. Charles Leo Thomas, 85, of St. Louis, Missouri was called home May 19, 2025, after putting up the good fight with Interstitial Lung Disease and a recent diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure.
Leo was born on March 9, 1940, to the late Jesse Mae Cox and Leo Thomas and was their only child.
Dr. Thomas had a distinguished career as a professor at Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) and at George Mason University (Virginia). He also had his own private practice for psychology as well as providing counseling and evaluations for at risk teens in the juvenile penitentiary system which he did pro bono.
Leo is survived by his children, Stephanie Lynne (Thomas) Tryon (Stuart) and Charles Stephen Thomas (Nicole). He also leaves behind the lights of his and his deceased wife, Edith's life, his grandchildren, Sydney Tryon, Sawyer Tryon, Dominique Thomas, and Peyton Thomas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is most loved, forever missed, and always remembered.
His viewing is Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Snowden Funeral Home in Rockville, MD from 5 to 7 p.m. and the funeral service is Friday, May 30 at St. Raphael's Church in Rockville, MD at 10:30 a.m.
