I knew Charlotte or Cookie as we called her while growing up in Chicago. I have so many special memories. We were neighbors and we went to Agudas Achim Synagogue together. We were in BBG together and in the very early days the Yates gang. We had many barbecues and many back yard games together. My very deepest condolences to Nina Michael and Sydney
Francie my sister and I kept in touch with her on Facebook and continued to share memories.

I first got to know Charlotte in the early 1980s as her real estate agent. Over the years our friendship grew much broader and richer. We shared many happy times and turned to each other for support through not a few sad ones. One thing I shall always remember about Charlotte was the rare gift she had of laughing and crying at the same time. Even when her life was not going as she might have hoped, she found the comedy in the situation. Another thing I will always remember about her was that she was unafraid of speaking the truth. She had a light touch but an iron will. My deepest condolences to her daughter Nina and brothers Sid and Michael and their families. In Charlotte, God gave you a treasure.

Charlotte was an empathic soul who also loved to have fun! This is a picture of her cooking at our GMU Career Services retreat. I loved her and will miss her positivity every day.

My family met Charlotte and Nina in approximately 1999 at Beth El in a Chavurah. Charlotte and I had so much laughter and some tears swapping stories about Nina and my oldest son Jake. Charlotte, Nina, my husband, my 2 sons and I spent many Jewish holidays and other fun times together. Charlotte was a smart, loving and kind hearted woman. When we moved to Florida, we would pick Nina up at the airport when she came to visit Reva. We visited Reva in the hospital several times and in her home. Nina went on vacation with us. I was so shocked and sad to hear of Charlotte's death. The world has lost a beautiful soul.

I met Charlotte through the Northern Virginia Chavurah Meetup group. I spoke with her at two recent group events during the past month. She was a lovely person who had hosted our group in her beautiful home. I am shocked by her passing. She will be greatly missed. I send my deepest condolences to her family.
