On Monday, June 17, 2013, CHERYL H. STERN of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Lawrence Stern. Devoted mother of David (Rivky) Stern, Ronit (Elie) Himmelfarb and Rachel and Joshua Stern. Cherished daughter of Judith and the late Joseph Shindler. Dear sister of Aileen (Benjamin) Kirschenbaum. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, 9:15 a.m. at Kemp Mill Synagogue, 11910 Kemp Mill Rd., Silver Spring, MD. Shiva will be observed at the late residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy, 13300 Arctic Ave., Rockville, MD 20853. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001

Dear Larry and Family
I was so saddened to hear of Cheryl's Petirah and was aware of her battle over the last few years. I only have the most postive and wonderful memories of her as we both were active in NCSY many years ago. Her warmth and enthusiasm for life as well as her outreach for others will always live on.
