It´s been 15 years since you gained your wings...but it still feels like yesterday. I still laugh when I Rembrandt our shopping adventures, fun lunches and family fun at the Cabins. Just wanted you to know that I love and miss you and thank you for a heart full of loving memories.

When my father passed away my freshman year in the middle of midterms, Dr. Hedgepeth stepped in like any father would and contacted all of my teachers and let them know how it was going to go. He was even very upset with my chemistry lab because and I quote. "Mr. McElwain made it to class this morning after driving all night and leaving his dying father and you for some reason didn't show up, please call me." That man is teaching a master class on Humanity in Heaven.

To the family, thank you for sharing Mr. Hedgepeth with us. I will always remember him as both an excellent teacher and mentor. At Maggie L. Walker and Virginia Union he was clearly ahead of his time.
He will be missed.

To the family , we all remember and love Melvin so much. I can still remember all the times he would come to Florida to visit, Suzette Zeb and I would meet him along with Suquoya, he always remembered us, for that was the kind of person he was, so loving and lovable. We would talk about old times. We would talk about Thelma and Chester all of the family good times.Oh, and his little puggy wrinkle dog that he loved also.
I could go on and on about Melvin, but that would take too long.
Know that he is not dead, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
The earthly chain is broken , but we will all link again.
Chester III be strong and hold on. I love each and everyone of you .Please accept my sympathy.
Love,
SuSie

Dear Hedgepeth Family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Chester. The memory of my father and Chester debating politics, religion, and current events will always be everlasting with me. It was always fun to "suit" Dr. 44 Extralong, and then suit "Little Chester" as the next generation became a customer and friend.
God bless you all, and much love,
Bob Siff (formerly Shevel's Clothing).

Dear Rosalie & family, I remember your
family from Gilpin Court YEARS ago. Your family was as large as ours (Gray). I'm so sorry to hear about Chester, he & I were the same age. I remember him as such a nice boy growing up.
I haven't seen any of you since our teen years, I DID meet your brother who pastors North Gayton Bapt. Church when my mom was there for Bible study a few years ago, & made myself known to him. May God comfort all of you during this time.
Sincerely, Veronica (GRAY) Archer
